Nicky
Owner/ salon director
Nicky is the proud owner of Karmeleon eco hair salon situated in the beautiful beach side village of Palm Cove which is the most northern suburb of Cairns. She has been in the hairdressing industry for over 20 years and still loves every minute of it. Nicky believes the best thing about being a hairdresser is that you get to be creative everyday & make so many people feel & look great. Nicky has extensive training in advanced colour work. Her favourite thing to do in the salon is specialised blonde colouring & creative styling.
Nicky is passionate about protecting & preserving our natural environment which is one of the reasons she created Karmeleon eco hair.
“I wanted to use less toxic products for my own & my clients health benefits. Its also a massive benefit to not wash harmful chemicals into our precious water ways and over the Great Barrier Reef everyday”
When she’s not in the salon creating you will find Nicky hanging out with her dog at the beach or helping out with various volunteer groups helping to protect our beautiful Tropical rainforest & Reef.
Ramona
Emerging stylist
Ramona is our emerging stylist at Kameleon eco hair and is completing the final stages of her training. Ramona has an excellent eye for detail and loves making clients feel and look their best. She loves all aspects of hairdressing but has a flare for Blondes, balayage and styling. Come in and meet Ramona and watch her work her hair magic. You won’t be disapointed.
Niamh (neve)
Senior Stylist
Hi I’m Niamh from Ireland and now a permanent resident of Australia. I have spent 5 1/2 years in Sydney working for global brand toni & guy. I came to Palm Cove 2 years ago on holiday (met Nicky then) and knew this was where I wanted to live. So here I am now living in Palm Cove and working at Karmeleon eco hair. I have been hairdressing for 20 years and feel very blessed to say I have never felt like I’ve done a days work I love it so much. I am extensively experienced in precision cutting and love all aspects of colour especially natural lived in colours. I’m extremely excited for my future at Karmeleon and look forward to meeting and getting know all the beautiful salon guests more.
